Dr. Osman Gözkün was born in Tarsus in 1978, he is married and has a daughter. After receiving his doctorate from Çukurova University Faculty of Medicine, he completed his General Surgery specialization in Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine in 2010.

During his specialization, he carried out many studies in the field of bariatric and metabolic surgery, which was his field of interest, and led various seminars and symposiums.

Gözkün, who has successfully completed more than 1000 surgeries in which he has been using advanced laparoscopic surgery methods for 18 years, has also been teaching at Bilgi University as a faculty member since 2012.

A member of the International Federation of Obesity and Metabolic Surgery, Dr. Osman Gözkün has been using the SIGNIA technology, for which only a limited number of surgeons in Turkey have been certified, in his operations for years.

The SIGNIA device has an artificial intelligence that measures the incision area, decides how much and which cartridges to use, and reduces the risk of leakage to zero. It determines the required cartridge according to the tissue thickness and needs of the patient, thus ensuring a safe operation and, more importantly, reducing the risk of leakage to zero. Dr. Osman is one of the four doctors using this device in Turkey.
